It's here...
Happy December Lovelies
I hope you are all feeling the holiday bliss decorating your
homes for the fast approaching festivities.
I have been very busy tidying up and making room for all of the
Christmas goodies that I sprinkle about and making me happy just to look at
them.
The outside of our home is full of lights and festive
colours that overshadow the death of my beloved gardens and live colour.
The inside is a much slower process. We have many styles of décor to choose from
as we have collected holiday décor for many years and throughout these we have
updated many times. I happen to love the
traditional red, white and metallic.
The past 2 years we have gone with a crazy
lime, purple and red scheme that showcases our love of Dr. Suess and The Grinch
Who Stole Christmas. We have tons of
Grinches that take on many forms and they are scattered thorough out our
home.
This year I think we will be going with a combination of
both. The brighter colours have been
fun, but I miss our time treasured ornaments and have decided to incorporate
them this year.
I will be taking a day
off this week and doing the majority of the inside. As we always have a real tree, this will have
to wait a couple of weeks, they dry out far too quickly to purchase it
now. I love the scent of real greenery and
it does make it seem a bit more authentic.
Anyway, I am
attempting to squeeze in a bit of physical activity everyday as I know from
previous years that this season is a real energy zapper. I, unfortunately was taken down the past 7
days with a bug that just knocked me out, so I am drinking tons of water with
lemon and ginger, moving more and just trying to get as much colour into my
diet as possible to get a leg up.
Take extra care of yourselves and have fun getting ready for
family and friends.
The next 25 days are
going to be a whirlwind of shopping, socializing, decorating, baking, cooking
and just plain fun.
Enjoy it all!!
~~
Peace Love
and
Hugs

I am so sorry to hear you have had a bug, my friend! I just fought my way back from a two month illness. FINALLy, I am starting to see daylight!
ReplyDeleteOh, and the GRINCH? I think it was either on Pottery Barn Kids or another website where I saw a Grinch stocking! It was SO cute. I think it might have been discounted as well.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
XO,
Sheila
Hey Nerina! Merry Christmas and yes, hope you have a wonderful holiday time. We will be with our four Grands in BC for the festive week. It's three weeks to go. You will be all better by then, kicking up your heels with joy. Blessings, Emmanuel--God with us.
