Vancouver 2010 - Go Canada Go !!
The time has finally arrived!!
VANOC 2010
Vancouver is so excited to be
hosting the 2010 Winter Olympic Games
Canada has a long Olympic tradition
and it is an honor to be
hosting the games in our country this year!!
We are so excited to be able to see
the events during the day this year
instead of the middle of the night!!
All of the athletes have worked long and hard,
many are at their peak and this could be their year!!
I just wanted to wish all of them
the best of luck or should I say skill
Enjoy yourselves and go out there and kick some butt!!!
This fantastic snow scuplture of the Inukshuk,
the symbol of our newest territory
graces one of the ski hills,
this must be spectacular in person....
look at the size of the people in comparison
This is a beautiful interpretation of the classic Olympic torch
This torch is quite contemporary
and has been on a long journey
across the country with many, many
Canadians having the once in a lifetime opportunity
to run with the torch when
it travelled through their town
Good luck to all of the gifted athletes
who are set to give
the performances of their lives!!
Have a great time in Vancouver everyone,
it's time to believe!!

Great post! Almost makes me want to watch them, but, alas , as I don't have a television, this will be difficult. I am much more of a summer olympics person anyway. I do hope Canada wins lots of medals, though!

ReplyDeleteI love to watch ice dancing. It is my favorite spectator sport! Loved all these pictures, Nerina, and I can't wait to watch the Olympics. It's the only time I really watch TV... then and the Super Bowl this year to see the Saints win! :-)

OH CANADA! Be blessed. And Thank you for being such gracious hosts.
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING the olympics!!! So happy you guys have had some gold already. A wonderful venue and city. I may even have to root for you guys to beat all in hockey... it would just be so fitting! Just don't tell my friends! LOL
