Oooo, they're all wonderful, and the chippier the better! I wonder what's behind door #8?? Maybe there's a secret garden behind it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these!
Happy Rednesday!
Even though I'm not huge on red, I think some of these doors are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! When I lived up in West Hollywood and walked everywhere, I saw tons and tons of the coolest doors and gates. I always thought I should take pictures of them and then publish a book. It's still in my $1,000,000 Idea Book, undone, along with 100's of other ideas. Anyway, I love the pictures and the red is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteRed says "welcome" in a big way!

ReplyDeleteNerina,
ReplyDeleteMick Jagger said it best.
"I see the red door. And I want to paint it black."
Or just put my initials on it...
Hi Sweetie, I love anything red!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBarb :-)
Nerina! I so love the red doors, I would have one if it would go with my house, but ours will have to be painted green as our house is going to be painted a very pale yellow and has dark green trim. I chose those colors and am sticking with them. We are going to paint as soon as the temps get a little cooler here in Phoenix. You asked if we could think of anything better than a red door? Yes my new red dining room wall. I posted it a few posts back. I just love it. Love it. It makes me so much happier than I ever even imagined. Thanks for sharing sweetie, Country hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteHi Nerina,
ReplyDeleteFabulous post! I have always wanted a red door and I adore the shabby red door with the black surround.
Big Hugs,
Karyn
Ah, my favorite red door -- at Elizabeth Arden. I had a cousin who, if we mentioned anyone who was dowdy or not very fashionable, would sweep her hand up in the air and proclaim, "Behind the Red Door with her!"
ReplyDeleteFun post... and some lovely old doors too!
Cass
Oh I love red doors, I'm seriously contemplating having one myself.

ReplyDeleteI love red doors even though mine is yellow. I may paint mine red one of these years. Thanks for sharing and a belated Happy REDnesday to you.

My gosh, it just kept getting better and better. They certainly get your attention. I love the older, chippy ones!
ReplyDeleteDawn
Fabulous! I think this is just about my favorite color for a door. I love the 4th one the best, all chippy and old!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of pictures!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite {of course} is #4 ... the most tattered, a lot of people have walked thru that doorway!
Have a nice weekend Nerina!

How did I miss you. Hey that EA red door? I have pictures of Julie and I at the one on 5th Ave. in Manhattan. I'm going to keep for next week.
ReplyDeleteI do love my red outside. I have a lady coming to paint my window frames red. The weather was too nasty today, hopefully tomorrow.
Take Care and Happy belated Rednesday Nerena.
Love Claudie
