A Dramatic Reading

~

My sister-in-law sent me an email a bit ago and
asked if I wanted to attend a book reading
as part of the
Authors Series from Harbourfront Centre,
sure I said, who was the author.

Margaret Atwood
was her response.
Her novels include The Edible Woman,
Cat’s Eye
, The Robber Bride,
Alias Grace
and The Blind Assassin

Intrigued, neither of us have attended anything
like this before and we don't really know what to expect.

I did a bit of research and
this looks like it will be a really fun evening!!

The chosen venue was unique,
the choir and actors....intriguing!!

Ms. Atwood herself will be narrating....super exiting!!

In her first Toronto appearance
to introduce her work,
for her highly anticipated
new novel

The Year of the Flood

Margaret Atwood uses
the historical
Cathedral Church of St. James in Toronto

to set the mood for a dramatic reading with music;
directed by Canadian theatre director
and playwright Alisa Palmer.

Breathtaking....the anticipation is growing!!

Proceeds from this event support Nature Canada

The tour began August 30 at the Edinburgh Festival,
and continues on through the UK,
the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, Austria,
and the United States. For complete international tour
information and schedule visit Year of the Flood

She is also Blogging about her experience throughout
this International tour.
You can follow along with her
