Happy Pink Saturday !!

This is the last long weekend of the summer!!

Beautiful blooms are abound in our Canadian gardens.

The weather has been cool all summer
and the grass is still lush and green.

I know some of you have have experienced
record high temps all season and this has
left you with your gardens not up to their usual brilliance.

I hope that this summer has kept you safe
and out of harms way, as we have experienced
everything from Tornados and Floods to Fires and Drought.

Slow down and take the time to
enjoy all that early fall has to offer!!

Isn't this picture so beautiful, yet, eerie at the same time

A lovely pink fall border in the garden

Don't eat the berries...I know you want to

Is there anything prettier than a vibrant pink Chrysanthemum

I love to see the leaves changing color,
unfortunately this means they
will shortly leave the branches naked until Spring.

Enjoy them while you can!

Growing up my father would show his
prized Dalia's in September all over the province,
he won quite a few awards for his beautiful blooms.

I just wanted to let you all know about a
new blog that I have discovered,
or should I say she discovered me.
When I went to visit her,
well, all I can say is, I really enjoyed myself
and I will be back.
Her name is Heidi at 'Heart and Home'
she has the most beautiful images and really fun tutorials.

Please take some time and visit Heidi today,
you'll be glad you did!!

I hope you enjoyed these pinks today!!

Please visit our hostess

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound

for more Pink Eye Candy!!

Have a restful long weekend!!

Hugs xOxO, Nerina :)

  9. Happy Pink Saturday Nerina! I love dahlias and the ones pictured are just beautiful. I think the border was also very colorful. Thanks for sharing. The first picture was eerie, quite unusual. Where was it taken, and what is the coloring of the picture? I have never seen one colored quite like that. Have a wonderful weekend. Fall is coming. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry

  10. Beautiful mysterious and enchanting pinks. Thank you. I've just realised how often pink comes up in my blog too - is it a girl thing?

I think your father's Dahlia adventures sound lovely. It is a beautiful flower and I enjoy it when people share beauty with us.

  13. Great photos! And you are right about the first shot, it is kind of eerie, but nonetheless very beautiful. And all your flowers are lovely, too. I hope you don't have naked trees too soon. I don't have any trees in my yard that lose their leaves. There is one a couple of houses down (the ONLY one on the block, mind you) that loses its leaves. We sure live in different places! Anyway, enjoy this last weekend of summer in your corner of the world!

    Hugs, from Coronado

  20. Your photos are scrumptious! Yes, that first one is strangely eerie. Can't put my finger on just why. I know of the blog you mentioned. I've been visiting her lately. And I'm in that category of gardeners whose flowers got zapped by the heat!

  25. These are beautiful pictures. I don't find the tree photo eery - just very serene. Maybe because I'm so used to the fog, and that's kind of how it feels when you're out alone in it.....
Well, I thought I had left a comment the last time I visited, but since I don't see it I'll assume that my head was elsewhere - thanks for the lovely words about my site, hope we'll become "blogger friends"! I'll be back soon.
