Thankful Thursday !!

Hey there,

Hope this day brings
much happiness and good fortune your way!!

I took part in
Aunt Pitty Pat's
'Spooks Rattles Pots & Pans Apron Swap'
got that, it's quite a mouthful.

I was fortunate to have Debbie from
'Little Red Said' as my swap partner.
Please go and visit her,
lovely pictures of the Canadian wilderness
and yummy recipes!!

She is from the West coast of Canada,
where the weather is still like summer.

I received this in the mail the other day

This is the cutest Apron

I also was spoiled with chocolate
and an assortment of flavoured Teas,
a recipe for 'Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies'
that I can't wait to try,
as well a couple of flavored drink mixes
and a lovely 'Pink' notebook.

Debbie's workmanship is spectacular!!

Thanks so much Debbie...I love it all!!!

Look at this adorable
embroidered Spider with ricrac legs....eeek!!
I love the fabric, it looks like a lace overlay,
but it is the actual fabric pattern....it is really nice!!

~~

In my first attempt at sewing an apron
...sorry Debbie to use you as a guinea pig,
I think it turned out cute and is pretty whimsical!!

I have not sewn in many years and this was really fun
I love that it is Halloween themed
and that made it much easier to design.

I added a festive pumpkin tin
to display her Halloween goodies
as well as a Spooky tealight holder!!

This is the pocket that has a little witchie poo
with a bow embellie and a few Yo-Yos for added color,
cause it is so subtle now.
I hope you like it Debbie,
she can turn it around
and wear the white side
which is just plain muslin if she wishes!!

Well...this is my 100th post,
I will be getting together a giveaway this weekend,
hope to see you then!!!!

Have a great Thursday everyone!!

  7. Good Morning Nerina!
OMG what a wonderful gift you received with the little embroidered spider, and what a wonderful gift you made. Don't you just love aprons? They are the best. How festive. Thanks for sharing this wonderful day. You should wear you apron to hand out candy on Halloween. You will be both festive and in a costume. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry
